Media invitations for the event — widely expected to introduce new iPads, among other possible products — hit inboxes Tuesday.
Apple is holding an event in San Francisco on October 22 to announce new products – likely updated iPads(iPad 5 and iPad mini 2). The company announced its most recent iPads around this time last year. The announcement included a smaller version, called the Mini, for the first time. Invitations sent to the media on Tuesday for event read, “We still have a lot to cover” and sported a close-up, half-view of Apple’s logo. The usual stylized, elliptical apple-stalk is replicated and scattered throughout an attached image in multiple hues that mimic the colour scheme in iOS 7.
Apple also announced a few products at its summer Worldwide Developers Conference that have yet to be released, including the cylindrical Mac Pro and its new desktop operating system, Mavericks. Apple is also expected to refresh other desktop lines, as well as its laptop line and possibly even its Apple TV set-top box.
