ios-8-1-1-logoApple has seeded the first beta of iOS 8.1.1, with build number 12B432. Apple brings a number of bug fixes and performance improvements to its iPhone and iPad OS, according to the update’s release notes.  iOS 8.1.1 is said to include multiple bug fixes, as well as performance improvements for the iPad 2 and iPhone 4S. Being a minor release, it is unlikely that iOS 8.1.1 will include any new features.

This marks the first time in recent history that Apple is seeding a beta for a patch update. A new seed for the Apple TV is also available.

iOS 8.1.1 is compatible with iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5s, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPad Air 2, iPad mini 3, iPad 2, iPad (third-generation), iPad (fourth-generation), iPad Air, iPad mini, iPad mini with Retina display and iPod touch (fifth-generation).
